Jersey Shore State Bank is a locally owned independent bank located in North Central Pennsylvania. Since its beginning on May 15, 1934 in Jersey Shore, Pennsylvania, the bank has enjoyed huge community support. The bank currently has 12 branches in the Pennsylvania counties of Lycoming, Clinton and Centre.

Penns Woods Bancorp, Inc., the bank's holding company was incorporated in 1983 and is located at 300 Market Street, Williamsport, PA 17701. Investment and insurance products are offered through the bank's subsidiary, The Comprehensive Financial Group.

The bank has always enjoyed consistent leadership, with only four Presidents. The bank's current President, Ronald A. Walko, was named to the position in August 2000. The bank currently employs approximately 200 people throughout the company.

Jersey Shore State Bank is participating in the FDIC’s Transaction Account Guarantee Program. Under that program, through December 31, 2010, all noninterest-bearing and IOLTA NOW transaction accounts are fully guaranteed by the FDIC for the entire amount in the account. Coverage under the Transaction Account Guarantee Program is in addition to and separate from the coverage available under the FDIC’s general deposit insurance rules.
